PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device whose safety in maintenance is secured while toner sticking on the surface of a body to be cleaned can surely be scraped off as a cleaning device which scrapes off toner sticking on the surface of the body to be cleaned such as a photoreceptor drum and an intermediate body. SOLUTION: The cleaning device is provided with a blade 71 and a guard member 73 which is provided closing the part between the blade 71 and a scraper 72 arranged apart from it at a designated interval. The guard member 73 has a gap in which the toner scraped off with the scraper 72 scraping off the toner left even after toner is scraped off by the blade 71 passes through.
