PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost image forming device of simple structure capable of accurately detecting a paper sheet position. SOLUTION: A paper sheet feeding device for feeding a recording medium has a paper sheet position detecting means for detecting position of the recording medium 1 in a direction crossing the feeding direction. The paper sheet position detecting means is formed of a light emitting part and a light receiving part, and the light emitting part is formed of at least one light emitting element 11, and the light receiving part is formed of a row of light receiving elements formed by arranging a plurality of light emitting elements 12 in a line with an equal interval, and arranged at a position tilted against the paper sheet feeding direction.
