PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of a tire shoulder region in running with puncture and suppress the worsening of the road noise to the minimum. SOLUTION: A side reinforcement type run-flat tire 1 is equipped with a tread part 21 having base rubber 11 and a pair of side wall parts 20 fitted each with a side reinforcing rubber layer 3 having approximately a crescent section, and is configured so that cushion rubber 13 is installed in the position of the shoulder region 22 contacting with the base rubber 11 in such a way as straddling the line perpendicular to the tire inside surface and passing the grounding end of the tread with the road surface in the tire width direction, wherein the loss tangent tanδof the cushion rubber 13 is set lower than tanδof the base rubber 11.
