PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile unit which can form an intricate joint, and a tile wall using the tile unit. SOLUTION: In the tile unit 10 for a flat section, a plurality of slender rod-shaped tiles 11 equal in length are aligned in parallel, and integrated together by bonding and connecting a connecting body 12, which is composed of a synthetic resin film, paper, etc., to a backside. The tile unit 10 has the same shape even if turned at an angle of 180°in such a manner that right and left sides are reversed. When the tile units butt against each other in the state of being juxtaposed on the right and left sides, a right end of the left-side tile unit 10 is engaged with a left end of the right-side tile unit 10 in a completely united manner, and an end of the tile of one tile unit gets in between ends of the tiles of the other tile unit.
