PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female material for a mechanical fastener capable of using a porous or low-density engaging element without being accompanied by the decline of engaging force or durability and keeping a manufacture cost low as well. SOLUTION: The female material is a laminated body of a base material, a porous fastening layer supported by the base layer and an adhesive material layer arranged between the base material and the fastening layer to fix both thereof. The adhesive material layer is applied on the base material in a discontinuous pattern, an antiblocking agent is included in the adhesive material, and a design layer is further formed on the front surface and (or) back surface of the base material.
