The gun is adapted to take an accessory (4) such as light or laser and has its own energy source (1) inside it, in form of either a battery or an accumulator, to power the accessory. It has an accessory rail (3) on which to fix the accessory, equipped with a contact rail (5) to transmit electric energy from the power source to the accessory, or alternatively contactless (e.g. inductive) power transfer may be used. The gun has its built-in own control device (2) to control the accessory over an optical, inductive, or radio link.
