<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing and drying apparatus capable of sterilizing and drying nursing-care devices such as a wheelchair and other articles in need of sterilization in a short period of time, and having a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: This sterilizing and drying apparatus is provided with a chamber 20 formed with suction ports 26 and 26 and an exhaust port 27, a steamer 30 heated by a burner 64 and generating steam, an exhaust nozzle 40 connected to the steamer 30 and exhausting the steam to the interior of the chamber 20, and a duct 50 guiding the ambient air of the burner 64 and the steamer 30 to the suction ports 26 and 26 of the chamber 20. The duct 50 is provided with a blower fan 51 forcedly sending the ambient air of the burner 64 and the steamer 30 to the suction ports 26 and 26 of the chamber 20.
