<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of securing quality and reliability even when a reproduced image forming unit is loaded to the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the image forming apparatus equipped with the image forming unit 18 constituted of interchangeable bodies such as a photoreceptor drum 40, an electrifying apparatus 60, a developing unit 61 and a cleaning apparatus 63 so that the interchangeable bodies can be integrally loaded/unloaded to/from the apparatus main body 1, when it is detected that the image forming unit 18 is loaded to the apparatus, referring to information stored in an IC tag 90 (EEPROM 516) on the interchangeable body to be replaced and information on the bodies newly stored when the unit is reproduced, warning that the image forming unit 18 is not usable is displayed when it is judged that the interchangeable body to be replaced is not replaced yet, and an image forming operation is inhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
