<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire stripper which can be used easily, moreover, in a limited place because the head portion is made small and can be handled lightly. <P>SOLUTION: Forward end of a handle 4 is rotatably supported by a first pin 3, substantially at the center of a body 1 provided with a lower edge 6 at the forward end. A tool rest 9 provided with an upper edge 10 and a slide receptacle 15 provided with a stripping edge 16 are supported slidably by the first pin 3, and the forward end of a link 13 supported by the third pin 14 of the handle 4 is linked to the rear portion of the tool rest 9 and the slide receptacle 15 through a second pin 12. The tip of the upper edge 10, the first pin 3 and the second pin 12 are substantially aligned, and the head portion is reduced in size. Furthermore, movement of the second pin 12 is regulated by the grooved cam 18 of the slide receptacle 15, such that the second pin 12 moves, as though the center of rotation of the upper edge 10 is shifted above the first pin 3, thus reducing deviation from the cutting position into a coating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
