PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating a liquid by which an image defect is prevented and cleaning after finishing processing or maintenance can be reduced even when the number of lithographic printing plates increases, the plates having images recorded by a material exposing means. SOLUTION: The method for heating a liquid is carried out by supplying a liquid having a solid content dissolved or dispersed therein to a container having a discharging port and a liquid sucking port, and by heating the liquid by a heater while passing and circulating the liquid through the discharging port and the sucking port.
