PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program for supporting the editing of a classification structure of information, an information classification structure editing support method and an information classification structure editing support apparatus that maintain a comprehensive and consistent classification structure of information or folders. SOLUTION: A classification dictionary 10 stores information classified into predetermined groups. When a classification structure editing part 20 creates a classification structure including arbitrary information, a classification structure search part 16 refers to the classification dictionary 10 according to the information belonging to the classification structure to identify groups including the information. A recommendation candidate decision part 22 recommends, as a candidate for addition to the classification structure, information included in the groups identified by the classification structure search part 16 and omitted from the classification structure created by the classification structure editing part 14.
