PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a storage phosphor panel after the deletion of information therefrom at a satisfactory condition that is not affected by radiation and to eject the storage phosphor panel in a satisfactory condition in order to use it for photographing. SOLUTION: Radiation image information remaining on the storage phosphor panel 14 is deleted by a deleting section 64 after read by a reading section 52. Then, the storage phosphor panel 14 is stocked in a cassette ejecting section 40. In this case, in the cassette ejecting section 40, the lid member 45 which encloses the cassette 12 and placing base 70 are made of a heavy metal material such as lead therefore the storage phosphor panel 14 is stocked in the cassette ejecting section 40 in a satisfactory condition without being affected by external radiation.
