A paper machine covering comprising a woven fabric material (A) and a perforated mesh material (B), in which the fabric (A) is folded round the ends of the mesh (B) to form folds with loops aligned in the machine direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of paper machine covering involving the folding step as described above.
