The knife has a groove (26, figure 6) that receives a blade and slide device 24. The slider 24 includes a spring 70, housing 34 and two members 46, 50 having protrusions 54, 64 that releasably engage tabs 30 in the groove 26. A rocker 36 is attached to the slider's 24 housing 34. The rocker 36 can disengage either of the protrusions 54, 64 and thereby allow the slider 24 to move with respect to body 22. A tang (124, figure 13) in the slider 24 engages the blade 28, preferably having snap-off portions. |
