<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor with an encoder in which the structure for connecting the shield of an output signal cable of the encoder with a housing for containing the motor is simplified while enhancing waterproof performance. <P>SOLUTION: A metal encoder flange 5 is fixed to the grounded metal housing 1 for containing the motor by means of a metal screw 8 and a circuit board 6 is secured thereto by means of a metal fixing screw 7. Shield 12 of an output signal cable having a signal line 11 extends through a board connector 9 and a part 141 of a wiring pattern to the fixing screw 7. The fixing screw 7 is conducted to the encoder flange 5 through a through hole plating hole or a non-through hole provided with lands on the circumference. The shield 12 is connected with the contact of a cable connection connector or a metal shell and may be connected further with a contact of the board connector on the circuit board by wiring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
