Anhydrous cosmetic composition comprises more than 45% oil and 0.00001-5% of a polar dye with an n-octanol/water partition coefficient of less than 1. The composition is a single-phase composition that undergoes no phase separation on standing for 24 hours. An independent claim is also included for producing a composition as above by preparing an oil phase comprising all of the oil components, preparing an active ingredient phase comprising the dye, combining the two phases at room temperature while stirring, and optionally adding emulsifiers.
