A magnetic storage device (10) includes a magnetoresistive element (20). A pair of side faces (20A, 20B) of the magnetoresistive element (20) are at least partially opposed to end faces (14A, 16A) of a pair of open ends (14, 16) of a magnetic yoke (18). Moreover, the pair of side faces (20A, 20B) of the magnetoresistive element (20) and the end faces (14A, 16A) of the pair of open ends (14, 16) of the magnetic yoke (18) have predetermined angles, respectively. Thus, the magnetic storage device (10) can reduce writing current while the magnetic storage device (10) has a small and simple structure.
