PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a memory capacity by making it possible to fetch information without lowering the information density possessed by a hologram so much even if a two-dimensional detector having a pixel size sufficiently larger than the wavelength of light is used for a reconstructing device. SOLUTION: The diffracted light reconstructed from respective layer of the data multiplex type hologram memory consisting of slab type single mode waveguides written with a plurality of independent hologram data is imaged on planes as images consisting of microspot arrays on the planes outside the waveguide surfaces and such planes (focal planes) are made to exist in a plurality in positional relations nearly parallel to each other, by which the information independent from each other is fetched from the images formed on the respective focal planes. |
