Engineering system (1) for programming and planning a program, whereby: the engineering system has an interface with which program parts (4) for expansion of the engineering system can be detected; whereby the engineering system has compiler means for compiling the program parts and whereby; program parts are provided during run-time for connection to the engineering system. The invention also relates to a method for expanding an engineering system.
