The applicator has an injection moulded plastics base body (2) with reducing thickness towards the tip so that starting from the inner end towards the outer end it tapers uniformly progressively forming a concave surface. The base body has a connector (3) for attaching a handle. Pigments can be mixed in at least in region of the base body.
