Reinforced foam polystyrene pack - with extra protection from coatings of resin, glass filled resin and resin respectively

A foam polystyrene moulding of one or more parts as a protective pack or for storage or transport has one or more recesses and the outside surface is itself protected by at least one covering layer to increase its mechanical strength plus one outermost layer. To strengthen the pack and to provide protection against scratches etc, the outside has an adhesive coating, a covering layer of higher strength and an outermost cover. The adhesive is pref. polyurethane, the stronger layer is e.g. glass-reinforced polyurethane with 3-5mm fibres and is sprayed on; and the outermost layer is also polyurethane with a coloured printed appearance.
