The lift auxiliary travel mechanism is for use in the event of failure of the electrical supply, enabling it to be moved to the nearest floor. The end of the hoise rope (6) is wound for several turns round a winch drum (5) on the cage roof. This has a gear-box (7), particularly of the non-reversible worm type, whose drive spindle (8) extends inside the cage, and is turned by means of a crank or handwheel (10) so as to wind or unwind the rope. The drum can be driven by a motor independent of the mains, controlled by switches from inside the cage. Mechanical or electrical interlocks can be provided, to prevent rotation of the drum when working normally, and only released on mains failure.
|
