The invention herein described discloses columns including a steel profile and reinforced concrete useful in constructions and commercial or industrial edifications, said columns having an improved resistance for supporting higher loads since they are made of structural steel and reinforced concrete; besides being built in conventional sizes for avoiding wastes, the columns can be combined with the like elements so as to form modules or geometrical forms with an ornate appearance. The invention therefore is characterized in that it comprises a machined steel profile particularly comprising a core, shoes, caps and confined concrete. The core is formed by a straight surface comprising three sections: a first straight section, a half straight section joined together to the first section by folds, and a third section; said straight surface is located at 90 degrees with respect to the core. The shoes or sides are arranged at the upper portion and at the lower portion of the core including a flat surface divided into three parts or sections similar to those aforementioned: a first straight section, a half straight section joined together to the first section by folds, and a third section. The caps include a short-dimensioned flat section located at 90 degrees with regard to the shoes, said caps also acting as a base and an attachment for a like profile. The concrete is placed at the inner portion of the profile, thereby obtaining a single unit after the concrete has set; the profiles once combined with the concrete may have orifices or bores as elements to be attached to the like pieces. The present invention refers to structural profiles used for constructing frameworks.
