FIELD: railway transport: permanent way. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for construction and running repairs of track and it can be used for rail joint expanding. Proposed rail gripping device contains housing with horizontal member resting on rail head and rigidly coupled with two vertical members arranged at both sides of rail head, pressure members coupled with vertical members and adapted for engagement with preset sections of opposite rail sides, handle and butt joint member arranged over rail head for connecting device with power unit designed for creating external force directed along rail axis. At least one of pressure members is rigidly coupled with handle and is mounted for turning together with handle around vertical axle. Handle with butt-joining member is mounted for application of indicated external force. Used as preset sections are side surfaces of rail head. ^ EFFECT: change of characteristics of relation between force acting in axial direction and pressure force square to axial force (normal component to side surface of rail head). ^ 7 cl, 4 dwg |
