FIELD: railway transport ; rail grinders. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of grinding of rail roll surface and device used for this purpose. According to proposed method, grinding wheel 12 is moved to rail 1 until it cuts in. Said movement is limited by guide 17 pressed to rail roll surface 4, irrespective of depth of grinding. Proposed rail grinder contains device for creating relative movement between rail 1 and grinding wheel 12, grinding wheel drive 9, support of axle 21 of grinding wheel 12 in direction deflecting from plane lying square to longitudinal direction of rail 1. It contains also guide 17 pressed to roll surface 4 of rail 1 and grinding depth regulator adjusted independently of guide. Invention provides sufficient cut of rail material at one pass over entire section under grinding, prevents overheating of rail material, guarantees sufficient resistance of grinding wheel at high capacity and large length of ground surface in time unit. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of rail grinding. ^ 35 cl, 5 dwg |
