PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING PACKAGING LAMINATES AND ARTICLES MADE THEREFROM

The present invention includes a continuous process for manufacturing packaging laminates adapted for easy tearing comprising the steps of providing a first and a second flexible web, applying a fluid adhesive to the first flexible web, drying th e fluid adhesive, or optionally, curing the fluid adhesive, slitting one of the first and seco nd flexible webs to form a plurality of parallel strips of at least of one the first and said second webs, and laminating the first and second flexible webs together thereby forming a laminate a plurality of parallel strips. The present invention also includes laminates form by this process.
