PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive voltage regulator with which high voltage is not applied to a load when power supply is recovered or the load is reduced even if compensating voltage is widened.
SOLUTION: The voltage regulator is so constructed that the secondary winding 4b of a series transformer 4 connected in series with a power wire 1 and the tapped secondary winding 101b of a regulating transformer 101 connected in parallel between power wires 1 and 2 are connected with each other through a tap selection main circuit 6 constructed by combining multiple alternating-current switches 11 to 16. A tertiary winding 101c is added to the magnetic core of the regulating transformer 101, and a delayed reactive power voltage regulation main circuit unit 200a is formed using it as direct-current control winding. A delayed reactive power voltage regulation control unit 200b is provided which detects supply voltage and regulates the amount of passage of current through the direct-current control winding when the detected voltage increases beyond a predetermined voltage. As a means for coping with steep voltage increase in power supply, both voltage regulation by tap selection and voltage regulation by generating delayed reactive power by the passage of current through the direct-current control winding are used together.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
