PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from forgetting to deal with a mail arriving during absence or an unread mail after confirming the mail arriving during absence or the unread mail, and to enable an easy reply from the user with a reduced operation load. SOLUTION: When there is the mail arriving during absence or the unread mail, a second control section 22 issues to the user a notification to that effect by illuminating using an LED 13, ringing through a speaker 7L, and a non-illustrated vibrator, etc. Also, through a single depressing operation using a user key corresponding to the above notification, an operation is set so as to periodically prompt the user to return a telephone call or a reply mail. Then, in response to the above periodic notification, when the user indicates an intension to reply, returning a telephone call or a mail reply is automatically generated.
