PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly form a lower part of a crankcase in the axial direction of a crankshaft. SOLUTION: One end part of the crankshaft 11 is rotatably supported by a vertical wall 43 of the crankcase 12. A recessed part 43a released toward the outside of the crankcase 12 is formed on this vertical wall 43. An oil pump 54 is inserted into this recessed part 43a. This oil pump 54 is positioned in the substantially same position in the axial direction of a crankshaft supporting bearing 33 and the crankshaft 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
