PRESTRESSED STRUCTURAL MEMBER AND BUILDING USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prestressed structural member 10 capable of being used as an outside heat insulating member, per se having a high strength and capable of being used as a structural member of a building such as beam. SOLUTION: The prestressed structural member 10 comprises a unit structural member 1 having a hole throgh which a prestressing steel for introducing a prestress is passed and a heat insulating material 2 disposed approximately in parallel with one side face of the unit structural member 1. The prestress is introduced in the axial direction of the hole by inserting the prestressing steel in the hole and tensioning the prestressing steel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
