PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear transmission having a higher reduction ratio than conventional one without greatly changing its construction. SOLUTION: The planetary gear transmission comprises a first sun gear 11, a first carrier 31 rotatably supported on a first rotating shaft 13 of the first sun gear 11, a first planetary gear 12 rotatably supported on the first carrier 31 for meshing with the first sun gear 11, a second planetary gear 22 fixed to the first planetary gear 12 in a coaxially rotatable manner, a ring gear 40 rotatably supported on a second carrier 32 connected to the first carrier 31 and having an outer peripheral face gear 41 and an inner peripheral face gear 42 formed on the outer peripheral face and on the inner peripheral face, respectively, the outer peripheral face gear 41 meshing with the second planetary gear 22, and a second sun gear 21 rotatably supported on the second carrier 32 for meshing with the inner peripheral face gear 42 of the ring gear 40.
