PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a distortion on acoustic feeling and a clip sound in relation to a speaker used for various type acoustic apparatuses. SOLUTION: In the speaker, the shape of the cross section of an edge 10A is made in an ellipse. The central axis of the ellipse is inclined, and the edge is set so that the minor axis side of the ellipse is set to the bore of the edge and the major axis side of the ellipse is set between the center of the edge and the outer periphery of the edge. In the small amplitude of a voice coil 6 retaining in a magnetic circuit 1 to sufficiently generate a damping force, the movement is increased. In the large amplitude of the voice coil 6 departed from the magnetic circuit 1 to decrease the damping force, the movement is gradually suppressed.
