PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum valve of which operating force of an operating mechanism at pole opening is lowered by making its axis direction distance shorter. SOLUTION: The vacuum valve is provided with: a cylindrical vacuum insulation vessel 19; a fixed side electrode 13 sealed at one opening face of the vacuum insulation vessel 19; a movable side electrode 16 fitted in opposition to the fixed side electrode 13; a fixed side contact point 14 fitted at the fixed side electrode 13; a movable side contact point 15 fitted at the movable side electrode 16 free in being in and out of contact with the fixed side contact point 14; a vacuum vessel 12 fitted so as to cover the movable side electrode 16, a movable side conductive axis 17 penetrating an opening part of the fixed side electrode 13 with the movable side electrode 16 fixed at its end; and a bellows 21 free in expansion and contraction airtightly fitted between the opening face where the fixed side electrode 13 is sealed and the movable side conductive axis 17.
