PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker for heating a cooked object without energizing a catalyst heater in the case that cooking time is short and a temperature inside a container at the start of cooking is low. SOLUTION: The cooker comprises: upper and lower heaters 1 and 2 provided inside a cooking chamber 3; the catalyst heater 8 for heating a catalyst 7 installed in an exhaust route 6 communicating between the inside of the cooking chamber 3 and outdoor air; a smoke removing fan 9 installed on the downstream side of the catalyst 7 in the exhaust route 6; and a main control part 15 for controlling the smoke removing fan 9 and the upper and lower heaters 1 and 2 while maintaining the OFF state of the catalyst heater 8 when the cooking time is less than a prescribed time period at the start of cooking and the temperature inside the chamber at the start of cooking is lower than a prescribed temperature.
