PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative ion generator capable of filtering water in a storage tank, suppressing the growth of molds and fungi, and enabling continuous water feed. SOLUTION: This negative ion generator is provided with a negative ion generating means 13 sending air including fine droplets and negative ions generated by colliding water sucked from the water storage tank 6 to a collision body 11 to the outside, and a water purification unit 17 formed by integrating medical agent impregnating pellets 15 with a filter 16. The water purification unit 17 is provided in a return channel 14 of the water returned to the water storage tank 6 after generating the negative ions by the negative ion generating means 13 so as to provide a negative ion generator capable of filtering the water in the water storage tank 6, suppressing the growth of the molds and fungi, and enabling the continuous use.
