<p>Press for moulding concrete blocks uses a lower traverse joined by guide bars to an upper traverse fitted with pivot mountings from which work cylinders (I) (a) are suspended; side plates are also fitted between the two traverses. In (I) (a) are piston rods carrying holders (b) connected via springs to a press table frame (c). In the sides of table (c) are (I) (d) with piston rods using spring mountings to draw a moving traverse fitted with a ram downwards. The ram compacts the concrete mixt. in a moulding frame (e) located above a plate (f) mounted on table (c); after compaction, table (c) is lowered, so plate (f) carrying the moulded block can be removed via transverse conveyor rails. Several sets of limit stops control the strokes of the various moving parts of the press; and the side plates have swivel mountings for two pairs of plates carrying four motors, two on each side of the press; the motors vibrate moulding frame (e). Homogeneous concrete blocks can be made with high density using pronounced vibration without the latter being transferred to the press frame.</p> |
