<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein oil enters through gaps between metal reinforcement rings and between the reinforcement ring and an outer peripheral horizontal end part of a seal lip to cause oil leakage. <P>SOLUTION: This oil seal includes: an oil seal body formed by fluorine contained resin as a whole, and having a husk part, which is a part mainly sheathing a garter spring and a lip body part constituting a seal lip, which are formed by drawing ; a garter spring, the outer peripheral part of which is sheathed near the inner peripheral end part of the lip body part; and an inner L-shaped metal reinforcement ring. Fixed parts of the oil seal body are bonded and fixed with the flange part of the L-shaped metal reinforcement ring held between them using an adhesive to surely prevent oil leakage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
