<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell having good power generation efficiency regardless of its operation state. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises gas diffusion layers 3a, 3b interposing an electrolyte film 2; a separator 5 having a hydrogen flow passage 4 supplying hydrogen to the gas diffusion layer 3a; an air flow passage 6 supplying air to the gas diffusion layer 3b; and a gas flow passage changing part 8 blocking a part of the hydrogen or the air flowing through the inside of the gas diffusion layers 3a, 3b not along the air flow passage 6 or the hydrogen flow passage 4, from a hydrogen supplying manifold 9 or an air supplying manifold 11 to a hydrogen exhaust manifold 10 or an air exhaust manifold 12, when an operation load of the fuel cell is low, and not blocking them when the operation load of the fuel cell is high. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
