<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet condition detection method capable of unerringly inspecting discharge of nozzles by an optical sensor in detecting the jet condition of an ink, and an inkjet recording device. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting the normality of yellow ink drops which can be overlapped on a paper by lowering a paper transfer speed to a speed lower than that in normal printing, the paper transfer speed is lowered to half the paper transfer speed in normal printing (e.g., 10 inch/s). As shown in Fig.(D), the yellow ink drops are overlapped on each other by a half dot on the paper, the quantity of an ink per unit area doubles to increase density, and the presence or absence of a yellow dot line can be accurately detected by a line sensor 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
