PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a wheel idling preventing device of a conventional electric vehicle that the vibration of the vehicle is generated due to a stepwise variation in torque when converging a slip, since a winding current command value is changed in stepwise manner, when updating the winding current command value at a fixed cycle as performed in digital control. SOLUTION: This wheel idling preventing device of an electric vehicle is characterized comprising a motor (9) that rotatively drives wheels of the electric vehicle; an actual vehicle-speed estimating means (3) that estimates the actual vehicle speed of the electric vehicle; a slip detection means (1) that detects the occurrence of the slippage of the wheel of the electric vehicle; an accelerator opening monitoring means (2) that monitors an accelerator opening formed by an acceleration operation by a driver; and a motor control device, that controls the current of a winding of the motor according to the accelerator opening; and when the occurrence of the slip is detected by the slip detection means, generates the winding current command value on the basis of the estimated actual vehicle speed estimated by the actual vehicle-speed estimation means, thereby controlling the current of the winding.
