PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission system capable of carrying out data transmission by efficiently utilizing bands when a fault is caused in a transmission path, the data transmission system configured with a ring formed connection of full duplex transmission paths including a plurality of sequences via wireless facilities. SOLUTION: When each wireless RPR apparatus 40 detects the occurrence of faults of some sequences in three sequences of the transmission paths 12, in the case that the number of faulty sequences is a half or less than the entire number of the sequences, the apparatus 40 uses the sequences except the fault occurrence sequences in the transmission paths 12 to narrow down bands and continues the transmission (shown in Fig. 12B), and in the case that the number of faulty sequences exceeds half the entire number of sequences, the apparatus 40 does not use all of the transmission paths 12 whose sequences are faulty, and carries out the transmission by using the wrapping processing for looping back data to the transmission paths 12 in the reverse direction without the use of all the sequences of the transmission paths 12 some of the sequences of which are faulty (shown in Figs. 12C, 12D).
