PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver whereby a user does not need to be sensitive to a wait time when the television receiver displays a still picture. SOLUTION: The television receiver includes: a tuner 11; a display device 17; and an image drawing processing circuit 14 that receives a video signal of a TV image from the tuner 11 and a video signal of a still picture from a storage medium 25, displays the TV image on the display device 17 and on-screen-displays the still picture on the TV image.
