PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sock preventing a defect of losing the original function of the sock even when applying an antiskid agent to the inner part of the sock, and preventing the antiskid agent from coming off from the surface of the sock to impart practical durability to the sock. SOLUTION: The method for producing a sock comprises the following processes: a sock production process where a sock main body 1b the inner surface part 2i of which is formed into flat state in a natural condition Mn and into ribbed state having lateral concavity and convexity in an outstretched condition Me, is produced; an antiskid agent-applying process where a prescribed antiskid agent 3 is applied to part or whole of the foot-contact surface 2is of the inner surface part 2i while making the inner surface part 2i get into the natural condition Mn or the outstretched condition Me; and a primary drying process where the antiskid agent 3 is dried so as to get into a normally hardened state while at least outstretching the inner surface part 2i to which the antiskid agent 3 is applied.
