PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive paper sheet position-detecting means of simple structure for a paper sheet-carrying device. SOLUTION: The paper sheet-carrying device is provided with a paper sheet-carrying means for carrying paper sheets and the paper sheet position-detecting means for detecting paper sheet position in direction crossing the carrying direction of the paper sheets being carried by the paper sheet-carrying means. The paper sheet position-detecting means has resist rollers formed of a resistor divided into two at a central part in a direction crossing the paper sheet-carrying direction, and detects paper sheet position in the direction crossing the paper sheet-carrying direction on the basis of a current value obtained by applying voltage to each of the divided resist rollers during carrying of the paper sheet by the resist roller or during stop of carrying of the paper sheet. A pair of resist rollers are moved in the direction crossing the carrying direction on the basis of the paper sheet position detected on the basis of paper sheet position detected on the basis of the current value, and position of the paper sheet is thereby corrected.
