System and method for computing concurrent network connection information

A system for determining a number of concurrent connections at a start time of a connection record is provided. The system provides connection records with each record having a start time and an end time. The system selects a connection record whose number of concurrent connections is to be determined. The system then identifies each connection record whose start time is less than or equal to the start time of the selected connection record and whose end time is greater than the start time of the selected connection record. The system sets the number of concurrent connections for the start time of the connection record to the number of identified connection records. The system also determines a time in which the number of concurrent connections is over a specified limit.
