<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material, which has an improved adhesion or releasability to or from a head. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording material consists of an undercoating layer including plastic spherical hollow particles provided on a support, a thermosensitive color developing layer, which forms color by heat, and a protective layer, which includes a water-soluble resin, a crosslinker reacting with the water-soluble resin and a film-formable silicone resin, on the undercoating layer in the order named.
