<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing brilliance unevenness of an image and obtaining an excellent image of high brilliance by forming a toner image by the use of a toner including wax for improving the releasing property. <P>SOLUTION: The toner comprises resin binder, colorant and the wax for improving the releasing property. The toner image formed by using the toner is transferred on a recording sheet and is fixed through heating/pressing by the use of a fixing device 12. A conveyance roller 14 which is brought into contact with the recording sheet with the toner image fixed thereon and conveys the recording sheet is disposed on the downstream side of the fixing device and a cooler 20 is disposed between the fixing device and the conveyance roller. Before being sent into the conveyance roller, air is blown against the toner image by means of the cooler and the toner image temperature is cooled up to a melting point of the wax or below. Otherwise, it is preferable that a heater is disposed in place of the cooler and the toner image temperature is kept at a temperature 10°C or more higher than the melting point of the wax. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
