<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the speed of the segmentation from a whole four-dimensional image data set and improve the reliability of the result of the segmentation. <P>SOLUTION: This segmentation method of anatomical structures 3-7 from a series of three-dimensional data set recorded in order of time, in which at first, the anatomical structures 3-7 are segmented from a first three-dimensional data set out of the series of the three-dimensional data set, uses segmentation parameters whose search space 9 of the segmentation is limited and/or spatial relationship is allotted based on the known spatial relationship of a structure to be segmented to the anatomical objects existing in the circumference and the segmentation result of the three-dimensional image data set which is positioned close thereto at every time of the segmentation and whose structure is segmented in the series of the three-dimensional image data set, when the anatomical structures 3-7 are segmented from another three-dimensional image data set in the series of three-dimensional image data set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
