<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment method which can effectively prevent the discharge of dioxins by remodeling an existing incineration system comprising an incinerator, and electric dust collector or a cyclone at a low cost, and a catalyst carrying ceramic filter which is a catalyst structure suitable for being used for the treatment method. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas of the incinerator is subjected to dust removal treatment in the electric dust collector or cyclone, and then brought into contact with the catalyst carrying ceramic filter. As the catalyst carrying ceramic filter, a ceramic filter which comprises mullite, SiC, or cordierite and has a dust collection efficiency of ≥90% on particles of 0.1 μm, and carries a dioxins-decomposing catalyst is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
