<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a horizontal beam enabling the horizontal beam to be neatly mounted on a handrail column. <P>SOLUTION: The handrail column 2 comprises a column body 5 formed of an aluminum extruded material opening at one end part through the entire length and having a partition wall formed therein through the entire length and a closing member 6 formed of an aluminum extruded material detachably fitted to the opening part 7 of the column body 5 so as to close the opening part 7. A horizontal beam fitted groove 16 to which the horizontal beam 3 is fitted is formed at a horizontal rail mounting position at one end side of the column body 5. A band-like mounting plate 17 brought into contact with the partition wall 8 in the column body 5 is fixed to the fitting part tip side of the horizontal beam 3 fitted to the fitting groove 16, and the band-like mounting plate 17 fixed to the horizontal beam 3 is secured, with screws 19, to the inner partition wall 8 of the column body 5 from which the closing member 6 is removed. The horizontal beam 3 is fitted to the horizontal beam fitted groove 16 of the column body 5, and the closing member 6 is fitted into the opening part 7 of the column body 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
